Social networking

Social networking provides libraries with the opportunity to market services to the community and also with the library itself. It also provides a great way of communicating ideas and opportunities that are available in the library.Also if there multiply library locations these could be connected this way providing easy access for staff and library patrons, it provides an excellent way of communicating without the physical location restricting access.

Google docs

Google docs would be a great tool to share information, co-ordinate a plan of action, and in a variety of other ways.

Mashups

We can be the graphic designers of old. How to personalise the library with interesting local images! There can easily be constant change and the novelty to make our customers enlightened and aware.

Podcasts

What a useful tool for libraries. We can create podcasts to capture our events and involve our communities. No longer will we be thought of as only lending books. We know the multple roles but now we can get it out there!

Slamming the boards

We should be out there selling our knowledge base. We can answer those questions can't we? The obscure, obtuse and all the rest!
