Wikis are great examples of sharing information on all sorts of topics. We'll never have to talk again! However I think there is room for all sorts of ways of information sharing and the world is truly global in its accessibilty.
Think how much people talk about Wikipedia - I think wikis can be talk fest on their own, think about how the wiki in this course is allowing people all over the state to talk with each other. I am glad you are enjoying the course.
